Involving local government and departments
Our goal is to involve government and local agencies to ensure access to government initiatives and support for our programmes. Although Government is facing budgetary constraints, our Board and Management policies and programmes will maintain regular contact with key government ministries to support our programmes. The Charity will also help government to initiate various projects to support PWD.
Volunteering Corp
To limit pressure on our financial resources the Charity will create a Volunteering Corp (VC), a group of people who will volunteer to undertake various services at the CEM Ability Village. The team will offer support services at no cost to the Charity, reducing operational costs and ensuring that our charity secures access to a pool of resource persons to support PWD. We envision soliciting the support of Corporate society to second their staff for limited periods to help in delivering services as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
Community Involvement
Involving the community is key in terms of making long term impacts on any project. In all our programmes, we aspire to ensure community involvement throughout the lifecycle of all our projects programmes to inculcate in the communities, a sense of ownership of the project as they form an integral part of its development. This will ensure the success of our programmes and help change the negative stereotypes towards PWD.
Working In Partnerships
Our core operational strategy will be geared towards using partnerships in the execution of our programmes and projects. The Board, Management and Executive Committee will build constructive and purposeful relationships by actively engaging with other organisations in order to collaborate and work towards shared objectives on a regular basis. This will help the Charity to utilise the expertise of government agencies and other Non-governmental organisations in delivering services and projects. We anticipate these collaborative ventures will allow the Charity to diversify into new areas and provide access to new funding streams. Partnerships will be developed with local and international organisations working in diverse sectors.
Branding
One of our core strategies as a charity to mobilise resources will be Branding. The Charity will enter into various agreements with companies to allow them to directly sponsor projects in exchange for the opportunity to advertise their products or place their corporate images on buildings they sponsor.
International and local road show to raise funding
The Board and Management will undertake various road shows both locally and internationally to raise awareness and funding for the Charity’s projects.
