The CEM Ability Village (an offshoot of the CEM Day of Help), a charity that supports Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in various forms, on Thursday March 31, 2022 made donations to the AWAA WAA2 Autism School located at Haatso – Papao 11, a suburb in the Ga East Municipality. Some of the items donated included mattresses, tissue papers, hand sanitizers and liquid soap.
This gesture was aimed at joining the school to commemorate the World Autism Awareness Day as well as World Autism Month. April 2, 2022 marks the United Nations-sanctioned 15th Annual World Autism Awareness Day. All activities within this period seeks to put a spotlight on people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and draw society’s attention to the roles they can play to support persons within the spectrum live a more functional life.
